This hand drawn batik is a clasic textile from the Yogjakarta area of Imogiri. The round shape of Keong Rentang motif is said to be like a snail shell and in this case has a keris pattern within. Snails symbolize fertility . Imogiri was one of the primary centers for the batik textiles made for the Sultanage in Yogjakarta.
