Natural Ink Base

Kaji Mundo's Ink Base is a washable natural ink binder for screen printing and painting on textiles, paper or canvas. Mix the binder with Kaji Mundo’s natural art pigments or your own. The ink base is handmade in Bali, washable and compostable, works best on natural fibres and with powdered pigments.

Dries clear, matte finish. Air dry 8hrs .

Hand Wash or gentle machine wash only with natural soap.

Can I mix the ink binder with my own pigments?
Yes, but be aware that some
pigments or dyes will perform better than others or may react with the ink binder, for beginners
kaji mundo recommends starting with their range of natural
indigo (blue) pigments. Works best with pigments rather than liquid dyes.

How do I wash dried ink off my screen and brushes?
Warm water and soap will remove any dried ink, soak if needed.

How do I store my ink binder?
Store sealed in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate if you live in a hot climate and for longer shelf life.
