The Batik panel was batiked in Tuban on the island of Java. The motif is called ganggang or water plant that grows very quickly – it represents the ability to regenerate quickly which is essential to life. It is a reminder of the importance of clean water for life to regenerate.
The solid indigo backing was made from commercial cotton and woven on a backstrap loom in Sumba and dyed with indigo.
These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
