This stunning cushion covers is made from handwoven textiles from Kalimantan. The ikat motif on the front panel cushion is called Uwi means rattan. The various stages of the rattan's lifecycle is often depicted in a single textile. It starts with young rattan, which has many spines, then the middle-aged rattan until the mature rattan, which is ready to become material for basket weaving. The solid coloured back panel of this cushion is made from handspun heirloom brown cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Tuban Java.
These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
