The Threads of Life Lontar Collection is a collaboration between with Hatiku Indonesia to create this high-quality leather bag integrating natural dyed traditional textiles from across the Indonesian Archipelago.

We call this our Lontar Collection as the lontar tree (Barassus flabelifer) is the considered a keystone species in the dry islands of Eastern Indonesia. The Lontar palm provides a family or clan with nutritional sweet nectar water, sugar that can be stored, basketmaking, building material for houses and as fencing for animals.

The natural untreated leather is handcrafted by small family businesses on Java. Threads of Life natural dyed textiles are used as accents to compliment this beautiful leatherwork - an elegant understated bag for any occasion. Size 45 x 15 x 41 cm / 17.5 x 6 x 16 in
