Snakes and Ladders Game

Hand printed with water based natural indigo ink (indigofera tinctoria)  by Kaji Mundo, on Oekotex certified cotton canvas. Durable and safe to print with, handle and wash.

This version of Snakes and Ladders is inspired by Balinese life and mythology. The bottom of the board features Bedawang Nala—the turtle that carries the world—accompanied by the two dragons Basuki and Anantaboga. Spiritual nirvana is represented by Mount Agung and the heavenly realm above. The rest of the illustrations are symbols of fertility, enlightenment, creation, abundance, death, disease, disaster, and knowledge. All of these symbolic drawings are inspired by life in and around the Balinese kitchen. Beautifully illustrated by Maya Kerthyasa.

Kaji Mundo's ink is made with living colours, that wear in not out over time.  Gentle hand wash or hand wash cycle (cold) recommended using natural washing liquids. Do not soak or bleach. Avoid drying in direct sunlight.
