This cushion cover is made by the weavers of Amanuban in West Timor using cotton fibres in a supplementary warp technique on a background that has been dyed black with mud dyes. The solid coloured back panel of this cushion is made from commercial cotton and woven by the community of weavers in Timor and dyed with mud dyes.

The motif on this cushion is called Pasu buta refers to an ornate leather belt worn by a person of the lineage of the Meo warrior caste.
