After 28 years of working alongside communities across Indonesia, these free textile talks offer a rare chance to discover stories behind the textiles and crafts.
This year, Feature Fridays focus on sharing recent field journeys together with the Threads of Life team who travelled to weaving villages and communities. Alongside discussions of materials, techniques, and traditions, these gatherings are a way to share what we are learning in real time. Through firsthand accounts and reflection, we will talk about the landscapes, relationships, and changing realities that shape textile and craft traditions today, and invite you to connect more deeply with the knowledge that continues to sustain them.
