This unique textile was made by a mother and daughter. The mother created the mud dye and tannin ikat work while her daughter created the warp-wrap buna technique. The motif on this textile is called ma’kai bia suna ana refers to a small hooked motif that represents interconnectedness between the ancestors, the land and the human world.
This will indeed be a conversation piece whether you use as a table runner or throw. A perfect Mother's Day gift.
