Indigo & Handspun

This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth using a ikat technique made by the weavers in Amanuban in West Timor. The solid color backing is made from handspun cotton and woven on a backstrap loom in Java and dyed dyed with indigo dyes.

The motif on this cushion is called makaif or large hooked pattern represents interconnectedness between clans and family groups.

These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
