The textiles of Miomafo area in West Timor are known for their indigo work with intricate ikat and these patterns are a reference to the ritual belts worn by the Meo warriors called paos kenat.
A textile like this is called beit ana and traditionally is used as a shoulder cloth by women for ceremonies and special occasions.

This indigo dyed ikat textile works well as a table runner or can be worn as a scarf. A textile such as this would take up to 3 months to make.
