The Shoulder cloth that is used to make these cushions is known as higi wo tellu. It is tied, dyed and woven by a single woman from Savu. The cloth colours are very colorfast as they have been properly dyed with indigo and Morinda citrifolia. The solid coloured backing is made by the weavers from Hamba Parengu Sumba.

Patterns used in traditional textiles are very specific in their meaning and use.

These cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
