As table runners or bed accents, these colorful handwoven natural-dyed textiles from Threads of Life bring a flavor of traditional Indonesia into the home. Ikat dyed by a dedicated group of traditional weavers from the To Mangki Karataun ethnic group in remote West Sulawesi, each unique piece is made by a single woman using Indigofera leaves for the indigo blue, Morinda roots for the red, and mud dye for the black. With motifs that represent a diversity of cultural symbols from spear heads to weaving tools and the eight leadership roles in a traditional community, these pieces range in size between 160-215 cm long and 19-22 cm wide.
