This beautiful batik is signed by NJ Tjoa Tjoen Kiat. This exceptionally long cloth extremely well crafted. Tiga negri refers to three regions where this cloth was worked on; red from Kudus, blue Pekalongan and brown soga dye from Central Java. Motifs contain flowers with rows of birds of paradise and displaying peacocks along with large butterflies. The protective borders contain the siret and cricket teeth along with the vines above these.
Excellent condition with fine small repair using embroidery thread to blend with colour.
