The Indigo ikat panel on this pillow was made by the weavers of the area of Insana in West Timor who are known for their indigo work and intricate ikat. The indigo backing is from Hama Perangu on Sumba which is an area known for its rich indigo work.
The motif on this cushion is called hau no'o leaf which is from the keystone tree Cassia fistula that is used as the central pillar for traditional house Uma Kbubu and also for the shrintes that are used in front of the traditional house where offerings are placed.
This handmade natural dyed cushion would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
