This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth using a supplementary warp wrap technique made by the weavers of Benlutu on the island of Timor. The back panel of this cushion cover has been dyed black using a complex mud dye technique by the weavers of Amanuban in West Timor.
The motif on this textile is called ma'kaif refers to a hooked pattern that represents interconnectedness.
