Lou’s playfulness and skilled eye captured design found in shadows, shapes found throughout the world and particularly in Indonesia. Borobudur is the name of this cloth which is based on the ancient monument in Java. Lou counted every Buddha found on the actual site and included them in the central design on this batik which can be hung in a doorway or on a wall.
The name is written in Javanese script at the bottom of the cloth. Enjoy living with this batik in your home to brighten your life.
Batik hand drawn, single panel, cotton, natural and synthetic dyes. Made by Lou Zeldis in Java 2009. Size 117 x 103 cm / 46 x 40.5 in
