Flores Indigo Gifts

This cushion is made up of the traditional cloth using a ikat technique made by the weavers in Flores. The back panel is made from handspun cotton woven on a backstrap loom and dyed with indigo dyes. These cushion covers feature a motif called soke mata lo’o is a flower motif that is smaller than the motif lo’o means small. Threads of Life works to sustain all traditional weaving and natural dye techniques made by generations gone before while maintaining healthy eco-systems.
