This extraordinary pori londong is a single panel with a mix of the important ikat motifs on it. Pori means ikat and londong means long cloth. It would be used for ceremonies such as a funeral procession where the cloth would be carried above the heads of family members.

The central motif on this textile include; tobo sepu. tobo means carving and sepu refers to the betelnut bag carried by women that contains the lime, betelnut and sirih leaf for chewing betel. It is polite to always have betelnut offered between both the host and visitor. The tobo sepu motif is also found on the walls of the traditional rice barn. Other motifs include ; lelen sepu a betelnut container and tumba-tumba refers to a spear head or sharp point which was used as a weapon by warriors or hunters.
This is a rare textile for its very detailed work and exquisite colour, gorgeous for wall hanging or used as throw.
