This beautiful earth-red shoulder cloth is a testament to the revival of traditional weaving in southern Lembata near Lamalera. Threads of Life’s early efforts to revive traditionally produced textiles where natural dye techniques had all but vanished are embodied in this exquisite shoulder cloth.

The motif nofi rajan is a pattern worn by a high ranking family, and speaks of the importance of paying attention to achieve good outcomes.
