This dreamy earth-red shoulder cloth is a testament to the revival of traditional weaving in southern Lembata near Lamalera. This shoulder scarf represents Threads of Life’s early efforts to revive traditionally produced textiles where natural dye techniques had all but vanished.

The ikat motif on this textile is called nofi rajan, is a pattern that adopted from a motif in men's tubular sarong that only worn by a high ranking family.
