This beautifully crafted cloth could be a Tiga Negeri (three lands), given its Lasem red, Pekalongan blue, and brown soga Central Java colors. The center panel, or badan, contains birds both in flight and feeding on elegant lily stalks against a background of the white truntung flower motif.

The traditional double border featuring the small siret strip and gigi wulang, cricket teeth, below a floral vine is said to protect the wearer.

This glorious antique batik is in very good condition with two small holes on the back of the cloth and a small patch on the front panel.

Hand drawn batik on a single panel of cotton sewn into a tube. Natural and synthetic dyes from Lasem, Java c. 1930-1950. Size 105 x 100 cm / 41.5 x 39.5 in
