All the characteristics of classic Yogyakartan batik are contained in this stunning piece, which is in excellent condition as it has never been worn.

Motifs include the wings of Garuda, the Hindu demigod and divine creature, along with other animal patterns against a background of delicate plant tendrils. The traditional border of gigi walang, or cricket teeth, is said to protect the wearer.
