This exceptionally long elegant hand drawn batik was made for the Japanese market (Hokokai). The deep indigo sore section is beautifully batiked with lotus flower and leaf. The lighter pagi section has motifs of birds of paradise with flowers, butterflieds against a very detailed background of diaganal bands semen or vegetation. Traditional double borders for protection gigi walang and vines on as well as rice stalks in flower on the endgs. Very good condition with a few very small holes.
