This stunning cushion covers is made from handwoven textiles from the village of Kaliuda which renknown for it's red dye. the people of kaliuda believe that the knowlegde for making this bright red is one of the gifts of their ancestors. Kaliuda textiles are easly identified by the strong red, black and white colors. the black is an overdye of red and indigo.
The motif of horse, men on horses and cattle are laid out in rows at the head and foot of the textile with the centerfield having a separte motif. The back panel is a hearty handspun cotton woven on a backstop loom and dyed to a deep rust using sustainably harvested Ceriops tagal bark from Papua.
These handmade natural dyed cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
