The Indigo ikat panel on this pillow was made by the weavers of the area of Insana in West Timor who are known for their indigo work and intricate ikat. The indigo backing is from Hama Perangu on Sumba which is an area known for its rich indigo work. The motif on this cushion is called ma’kai bia suna ana refers to a small hooked mofif signifying interconnectedness.
