The motif on these cushions is called ma'kaif and represents the connection that we share with the natural world, our society and the world of the Divine.
The front panel was made by the weavers of Miomafo on Timor island using mud dyes. The back panel is from Java where cotton was picked from the field, spun into thread and woven on a backstrap loom. The deep black is from a mud dye with tannins dyed in the Threads of Life Studio.
These cushions would be exquisite on a couch, chair or bed. Each cushion cover comes with an inner lining with zipper so all that is required is for you to add the Dacron and enjoy your handmade pillow.
