This classic Timorese wooden statue was carved by a Meo elder in the traditional village of Boti using sustainably sourced wood. The depiction is called atoni or human and is of one of the community members that works to support the clan elder and work the land.

Rare and unusual carvings where the community found time during the quiet of Covid these past two years.
