Contrasting light and dark sections provide the backdrop for an intriguing interplay of colour and other shapes in this hand drawn batik which was named coca cola by the designer Lou Zeldis.
The brown color is made from soga dyes, which is a mix of three different species of trees. The deep background is an overdye of indigo and brown soga colors. Textiles are meant to be lived with and be enjoyed and this would be lovely worn or hung on a wall or even as a table decoration.
Batik hand drawn, single panel, commercial cotton, natural and synthetic dyes. Design by Lou Zeldis and reproduced by Threads of Life with exclusive permission from the Estate of Lou Zeldis 2023. Size 150 x 84 cm / 59 x 33 in
